Challenged Athletes Foundation
Join me in supporting CAF!
If you have ever said "I can't do it" when it comes to anything in life, including an athletic event, because it's too hard or even because we're too busy, these challenged athletes will inspire you to think before using that phrase. I recently ran my first half marathon after thinking there was no way I could (or would want to) run for 13 miles in a row. The day before the race, I saw Team Hoyt - a father/son team where the son is a quadripeligic with severe brain damage, yet the two complete Ironmans and marathons together. Their story had everyone watching in tears, and helped me across the finish line. While a half marathon or even St. Anthony's triathlon isn't an Ironman, these challenged athletes deserve the technology and aid to accomplish what we sometimes see as insurmountable, or even take for granted. They have inspired me to think even I could complete an Ironman. . . one day.
CAF raises money to help people with physical disabilites, like Team Hoyt, pursue an active lifestyle through physical fitness and athletics.
By making a donation towards my fundraising goal you will directly help a challenged athlete in need.
Thank you for your donation!
